A True Story Of World War II
This book provides a factual and autobiographical-style personal narrative of the German side of The Second World War. The author joined the Waffen-SS in 1943, at the age of 16, and he recalls the reasons that prompted him to make such a commitment. He describes his schooling and training in the German Labor Service (RAD) prior to being posted to the Leibstandarte SS Panzer Division. His division operated in the Ardennes and he describes his personal experience in combat and the final battles on the Eastern Front in Hungary prior to his capture by the Americans.
